If you are federally-connected OR a civilian working on Fort Hood or another federal property (like the VA in Temple), your participation counts!

Every returned form makes a difference and helps KISD receive the funding our schools deserve.

The Killeen Independent School District Specialized Learning Department is hereby informing parents and former students that confidential special education records of students who graduated or left the district during the school year 2019-2020 will be destroyed on or after November 3, 2025.

The destruction of these records is in accordance with the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Library policies and procedures.

Files of students currently receiving special education services will not be destroyed. Transcripts of special education students will remain at the high schools.

Former students 18 years of age or older or parents/guardians of former students under age 18 who would like to have these records may call the Specialized Learning Department at 336-0295 or 336-6851, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Thanks to a trunk from the Texas Wildlife Association our Coyotes got to explore Bats hands on in the library this week! They learned why bats are important to our ecosystem, and about non-fiction text features!
